One library, every era
Phone photos from this morning next to a print from 1958. Filter by year, album, place or person.
Private family archive
Put every photograph in one place, tag the people in them, and join those people into a family tree. In forty years someone will open this and know exactly who they are looking at.
How it works
There is nothing to learn. Upload, name, connect, share.
Drag in phone photos and scanned prints together. Dates, places and captions can be added as you go or long after.
Draw a box round a face and choose the person. If they are not in the tree yet, typing their name adds them.
Record parents and partners once. The tree builds itself, and every person's page fills with the photos they appear in.
Invite the family by email or with a code. Each person gets their own sign-in, and you decide what they can change.
What you get
Phone photos from this morning next to a print from 1958. Filter by year, album, place or person.
Draw a box, pick the person, and see their name as you choose. Everyone tagged is a real entry in your tree, not a loose label.
Parents, partners and generations, drawn automatically. It refuses to let anyone become their own grandparent.
Each person signs in as themselves. Owner, admin, member or viewer — so a nephew can look without rearranging the archive.
Captions and comments sit under each photo. The argument about the trifle is documented for the next generation.
Nothing is public. No feed, no advertising, nothing reading your pictures to sell you anything. Your library, your family, nobody else.
Tagging
Click Tag someone, drag a box around a face, and a picker opens on the spot. As you move through the list the name shows against the box you drew, so there is no doubt which face you are naming. Type a name nobody has used yet and EmbleHart adds them to the tree there and then.
Pricing
Every plan is billed to the family, not per person, so inviting your cousins costs nothing extra. Change or cancel any time — we work out the difference for the part of the period you have not used.
Renewal dates, the exact amount and the card we will use are always shown on your billing page, and we email a reminder seven days before every renewal.
Payment methods
Card details are entered in a hosted field and never touch our servers — we only ever hold the brand and the last four digits.
Your billing page shows the plan, the price, the exact renewal date and how many days away it is, the method we will charge, and every invoice since you started — each one downloadable with the VAT split out.
We bill in GBP, EUR, USD, CAD, AUD, NZD. UK VAT is included in the prices shown; VAT-registered businesses can add a number and have it shown separately on every invoice.
Questions
You get 15 days to download everything. If your subscription is cancelled or a payment stops, you can still sign in and download your whole library for 15 days, though you cannot add anything new. We show you the exact deletion date and how long is left, and we email you when the window opens and again before it closes. After 15 days the photographs are deleted permanently and cannot be recovered. If you subscribe again within those 15 days, everything stays exactly as it was.
On the renewal date shown on your billing page, to the payment method shown next to it. We email a reminder seven days before, and a receipt the moment it goes through. Both are in the app's Mail screen too.
Yes, at any time. We credit the unused part of your current period against the new one and show you the exact figure before you confirm.
Three on Starter, eight on Plus and twenty on Family. People in the family tree who do not have an account are never counted.
Yes. One sign-in can belong to several families — your own and your partner's, for instance — and you switch between them from the top of the app.
No. There is no advertising, no training on your pictures, and no face recognition. Tagging is done by you, by hand, because a name you typed is worth more in fifty years than a guess a machine made. The one exception is an automated check that compares a fingerprint of each upload against lists of known illegal images — it reads no subject matter and no person sees your photographs as part of it.
Export the archive at any time: the original files in dated folders, a spreadsheet of every caption and tag, and the tree as a GEDCOM file that other genealogy software can open.

It is probably you. Start the album, and it stops being a shoebox in a loft.
